This Could Be It!

This will probably be my last post until I announce Camryn Cate! If I dont go into labor early (which is a giant possibility), she will be induced 1-7-09.

I have lots of stuff I need to put here but a major lack of motivation. Hopefully, Ill turn out something decent. Thats all I can aim for at this point--Decent mediocrity.

Christmas: Christmas was weird without my family but really relaxing not having to rush around. Christmas eve, we went to Outback and for Christmas dinner we went to IHOP (sorry no pics folks). <----Strangely enough there were TONS of people there?!? Carter had a few presents but his big one is coming friday (a super fun tent with a tunnel THANKS GRAMMY) he will probably play with it once and never go in it again. Anyway...pics...

Next we have my child ON THE KITCHEN TABLE drinking daddy's dr. pepper while I was looking for PJ's. He is so fast! This child has NO fear of getting in trouble or of heights. Please note the Dr. Pepper shine on his chest in the second pic.

As for me, it sucks to get up for pretty much anything because it feels like my bones are seperated in the most private of areas. Unfortunately being immobile isnt an option with a 19 month old. Currently I am 1.5 cm dilated and HOPING for no early birth before my induce date. My mom and clifton's mom are coming in together on Saturday so hopefully this girl doesnt decide to make an appearance earlier.

Camryn's Room and Silly Carter

I guess Im finished (sort of) with Camryn's room. I really wish Id had the energy to paint again (maybe a really light pink?) but I refused this time. Either way, I am happy most of it is over with (still need to finish hanging clothes and put on the mobile). We finally got Carter into his big boy room tonight but not into his big boy bed. He is still a crib dweller, thank goodness. He is asleep, no prob, even though it is a different crib, he didnt seem to care. Its amazing to me he has never tried to climb out! He is such an avid climber, so I guess it just never occured to him that he could SO get out.

Ive been really lucky with all the girls clothes. I bought MAYBE 10 outfits. Everything else was given to me. It sure did make it easier on us. Hey Grammy, do you see the dresses in the front??? Do they look familiar??? I wore them in 1979 :) I cant wait to see Camryn Cate in them. Glad mom had such good taste.

Carter looks like my mom here to me. Look at those TEETH! I cant get over how many teeth already fit such a teeny mouth.

Thanksgiving and Haircuts

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious and it was nice to see my family--but it's never enough. I came home on Friday and told Clifton to stay with Carter for a few days so I could get some peace and quiet. I really wish that I hadn't moved so far from home. It makes things very difficult for all of us. Some day Ill come back.

Either way, Clifton took Carter to get his hair cut for the first time. Clifton's best friend owns his own barber shop so it made it extra special. ALSO...my papaw bill, without knowing, showed up in the middle of Carter getting his hair cut, wanting one also. I thought that was super cool! I really thought Carter wouldnt cry, I was wrong. Judging from the pictures he was a total crybaby! But, a crybaby without a mullet.

Carter's 1st Haircut...

Hasnt happened yet but will this week! I have been extremely reluctant to cut his hair because I want to keep it longish. Lately though, its beginning to look a bit like a mullet. I dont want this:

I think we will just clean up the mullet part. The front is too short to mess with. Clifton's BFF is a barber so if he makes one wrong move, I have permission to throttle him. Also, notice the Dennis the Menace hair we get to deal with because of his double cowlick.

Im thrilled!! I finally got to see a pic of Camryn's room letters! Im so impressed. She designed them to match her crib set!

I think you can click on it to make it bigger. I told her to make it girly as possible. I think she succeeded!

Carter's Cheerios

Carter spilled his cheerios (twice) and now has to pick them up. Unfortunately, he cant decide if he should eat them or put them in his cup...finally, he gives up. But, he makes bird sounds!! I think he said cup too, but Im not sure.

Camryn Cate is now 3 lbs and looks just perfect according to the perinatologist. Im a little disappointed because they rarely give me good ultrasound pics but I guess it isnt glamour shots. They give me print outs of like a barely recognizable kidney or something. I want face, toes, hands! I will scan some soon. I know you are all dying to see a kidney or bladder.

This video below is a typical night with Carter before bed. Watch Winston on the couch being cautious but patient, then finally he has enough and runs off. Thank goodness he can fit under the armoire...its safe there.

We went to the stockyards for Halloween with Carter, mainly out of obligation. Why bother with a costume (mom gave us) if no one but us got to see it. We heard lots of cute comments and saw lots of other super cute kiddos. We left about 15 minutes later because really Carter couldnt have cared less and it was horribly loud. Plus, it was my mission to make it through Halloween without candy of any sort. We did! Except I did have a Halloween waffle when I got home though, does that count?

After the stockyards we went and did our own personal grown up business...like I bought the new Pink CD...YAY! Anyway, here are some pics.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to this really amazing pumpkin patch in Flower Mound with the intentions of meeting up with the other mommies in my mommy meet up group but it was SOOO huge and SOOO crowded that I didnt see ANYONE! Either way, we had lots of fun and were all tired once we got back to the car. As I said before, Carter is becoming really tricky to photograph. See evidence below. He rarely will look at the camera anymore and the tricks dont work like they used to.

Ketchup and Other Things

Went out for the first time with his puppy 'leash' on expecting gasps of horror from others but got none. This is only because there were only like two people there and their gasps were inaudible. Either way, I loved it. I could control him without him knowing. My mom used it with Cody and I remember people being rude and giving dirty looks. Personally, I think its adorable!

Also, Carter is getting increasingly hard to take good pics of. He runs away or wont smile anymore. I have to trick him. We are going to the pumpkin patch tomorrow, we will see how many smiles we get then.
