Well, it has happened to us. I swore I wouldnt let it. I had strategies to deal with it, but it has happened despite my 'plans'. Carter's toys have taken over our house!!! Sure, the toys look all cute and neat when his room is cleaned and everything is put in its place but that lasts about 10 minutes. He can get to every drawer and every box and does as soon as he sees I have put it all up! He is at the stage where he wants to show us EVERYTHING. So, he drags whatever interests him at the time into the living room to show us. Then of course, it has to be picked up, usually by us (with his "help")! His closet is full of toys. I just dedicated a box to all his baby toys that are in the storage room but that barely made a dent. My plan for cycling out toys hasnt been very successful either because I feel like it is 'unfair' to the toy that isnt in circulation. Ok, that sounded stupid. He really does play with all of his toys still so I cant decide what to eliminate. Any help? If only I had a giant playroom like MOM where all toys get equal treatment--no fair.
Here are a few pics in Daddy's hat. The only hat he will leave on for more than 30 seconds. And the last one...well, he is standing on his toy. Look at all the teeth in that 3rd pic! He was surfing on it with his hands off the handle but I missed it.

Pulling the Plug
Carter hates to get out of the tub so he frequently gets the plug and puts it back in the drain. Now, I have proof. He actually did it another time after this.
Build-A-Bear and Bike Trailer Thing
This weekend Carter got his first build-a-bear. Of course he didnt have much say in designing his new little friend considering he cant talk much. I think WE wanted a build a bear more than him. Anyway, hopefully this will be his 'new' teddy and maybe he has forgotten about his other sad looking teddy. He is a bit of a hillbilly lookin' bear, like daddy. We even had his old binky sewn in for extra cuteness (thanks barb for the idea). I felt like a freakin stalker mommy taking pictures in build a bear, oh well. I bet it wont be the last time. Here are some pics.

Then today, we got an instep bicycle thingie that you put behind your bike and drag your child in. Its pretty cool. Hopefully he wont mind going 15 mph down the street behind a bicycle. (Mom-like that kid on your block!?!) It can hold two kids so yay! More pics of that....oh I got new and improved batteries for my camera so that means lots more pics probably. SORRY!

Back From AR
After Josh's wedding, Carter had an Arkansas birthday pool party at Papa and Mimi's house. We had lots of fun and since I stayed with them this time, I had lots of left over cup cakes that I shouldnt have had. Carter is walking like a pro and now finally prefers it to crawling. He is now bipedal-YAY! He also is learning lots of new words and can say a few like kitty, bite, mama, daddy, hi, bye and for some reason, he can say what is it? I think he says other words that just sound like jibberish to me but mean something to him because he repeats them often.

The new baby is doing fine. We went Thursday for an ultrasound hoping to see genitalia but nope...stubborn child was crossing his/her legs in front of it. Now I have to wait 4 more weeks. The ultrasound tech said she "thought" she saw a penis. Most of you know how I feel about that but since I may have a male child read this some day, I shouldnt say. At least the babe is healthy!
Clifton and I got to mess around in Branson for two days ALONE after Thomas' wedding in Harrison and really had lots of fun. Thanks Grandma Donna for keeping Carter! We didnt argue one bit and it really helped us get back on track I think. We went to the Titanic museum and the Butterfly palace. I LOVED the butterfly palace. Butterflies would just land on you. None landed on ME of course but one landed on Clifton and one landed on my purse. Of course we shopped a bunch too. That was the busiest I've ever seen branson. I think Ill stick to off season.
